Matthew A. Green is an associate in the Philadelphia and Cherry Hill offices of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP.  He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and the Labor Relations and Employment Law Department.  Mr. Green concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, employment law, consumer fraud, and real estate litigation.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Maryland, Honors Program, College Park, Maryland and his Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law.  While at Temple, he served as a research assistant for Professor James Shellenberger and as a volunteer for the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project.  In 1999, he interned for Congressman Joseph Hoeffel in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining Obermayer, he worked as an associate for a Philadelphia law firm.  

Mr. Green was selected in 2010, 2009 and 2008 as a “New Jersey Rising Star” in New Jersey Monthly magazine and New Jersey Super Lawyers® - “Rising Stars” editions.   Mr. Green was also selected in 2010 as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” as listed in both Philadelphia magazine (June 2010) and the Thomas Reuters, Legal magazine, “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers®” (June 2010 edition).  Rising Stars are chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Thomas Reuters, Legal as being among the top-up-and-coming lawyers in the State.  Only 2.5 percent of New Jersey and 2.5 attorneys of Pennsylvania receive this honor each year.

Mr. Green co-authored the following articles:  “Premises Liability,” Pennsylvania Bar Institute (2003, 2005 & 2006); and “Your Law Firm’s Web Site,” Pennsylvania Bar Association (2002).

Mr. Green is a member of the Philadelphia; New Jersey and Camden County Bar Associations.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania; before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
