Kellie M. MacCready is an associate with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. She is a member of the Litigation Department.
Ms. MacCready concentrates her practice in the areas of civil and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Obermayer, Ms. MacCready was an associate in a Wilmington, Delaware firm.
Ms. MacCready earned her Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law, cum laude, where she served as Associate Editor of Outside Articles for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, cum laude, with Honors from Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. Ms. MacCready spent time abroad in London, England where she worked as a Parliamentary Intern for the British House of Commons, British Parliament.
Her publications include “The Mold Rush: The Onslaught of Mold-Related Bad Faith Suits Against Insurers and the Price for Homeowners.” 15 Vill. Envtl. L.J.89 (2004).
Ms. MacCready is named as a 2010 Pennsylvania’s “Rising Stars” as listed in both the Philadelphia magazine (June 2010) and the Thomas Reuters, Legal magazine, “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers®” (June 2010 edition). Rising Stars are chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Thomas Reuters, Legal as being among the top-up-and-coming lawyers in the Commonwealth. Only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania attorneys receive this honor each year. Ms. MacCready received this distinction for the past two years.
Her civic duties include the Homeless Advocacy Project where she serves as a volunteer attorney.
Ms. MacCready is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and Delaware Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in the states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the District of Delaware, the District of New Jersey, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
