Jay Evans is an associate in the Pittsburgh office of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, and is regularly involved in client counseling as well as trial and appellate work.

His experience encompasses many complex subject matters including antitrust and trade regulation, trade secret, securities litigation, contract, real estate, products liability and insurance disputes. He also has practiced in the areas of clouded title, fraud, and other areas of business and commercial litigation.

Mr. Evans serves on the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Appellate Advocacy Committee.  He also is part of the toxic tort team representing major automakers in the defense of their asbestos cases throughout the state.

During his career, he has made appearances before state and federal trial and appellate courts and the American Arbitration Association.

His publications include:  “Losing One's Appeal (Before it Starts)” The Legal Intelligencer, Litigation Supplement, June 22, 2009.

Mr. Evans is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
